Peace and Security

We support:
  1. peaceful conflict resolution, normalized US diplomatic relations with all countries, and multi-lateral solutions to international problems
  2. closing Guantanamo Bay detention facilities
  3. human rights and habeas corpus protection
  4. federal court access for non-US detainees
  5. promoting human dignity, resolving global poverty, protecting clean air and water, improving education, and reducing hunger and disease
  6. eliminating all WMDs
  7. territorial integrity of all nations
  8. cultural/educational exchange programs
  9. taking an equitable, active role with US conflict partners in MENA conflict
  10. maintaining present NATO security alliances
  11. gender equality/empowerment of women
  12. taking military action only with clear national defense goals, informed Congressional consent and funding, and whenever possible, international cooperation
  13. ending violence against women, including genital mutilation/honor killings/forced marriage/rape
  14. prosecuting human traffickers, protecting victims
  15. free/fair/open elections
  16. strengthening cyber-security
  17. stricter enforcement of FARA
  18. repealing 2001 US AUMF
We oppose:
  1. injustice, economic exploitation, human rights denial
  2. persecution based on race/religion/sexual orientation/gender identity
  3. US-sponsored regime changes, coups, juntas, unelected governments
  4. use of weaponized drones without declaration of war
  5. genocide
  6. terrorism
  7. imperialism
  8. preemptive military action without an imminent attack on US soil

Iran

We support:
  1. Iran Nuclear Agreement and diplomatic engagement

Israel/Palestine

We support:
  1. equal human rights for Palestinians and Israelis
  2. right of return/just compensation for displaced Palestinians
  3. rights of BDS
  4. escrowing aid to Israel until further settlements outside 1966 borders are stopped and Israel recognizes Palestine at 1966 borders
  5. Palestinian statehood/UN membership
We oppose:
  1. Israel Separation Barrier, settlement activities, and moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem prior to final resolution

Afghanistan/Iraq/Syria

We support:
  1. reconstruction and refugee resettlement through international cooperation
  2. resolving the Syrian conflict and providing humanitarian assistance
  3. US acceptance of 100,000 Syrian refugees
  4. regional cooperation to contain/resolve conflict with ISIL
We oppose:
  1. military intervention

Ukraine

We support:
  1. peaceful conflict resolution
We oppose:
  1. Russian territorial annexation

Central and South America and the Caribbean

We support:
  1. normalized relations with Cuba
  2. closing WHISC
  3. investigating any US government involvement in 2009 Honduras coup/subsequent activists' killings

Rainforests

We oppose:
  1. clear-cutting

Africa

We support:
  1. famine relief
  2. funding economic/agricultural development

Asia

We support:
  1. containing North Korea's nuclear weapons diplomatically
  2. peacefully resolving disputed Pacific islands
  3. resolving human rights violations in North Korea

Development Assistance

We support:
  1. culturally sensitive/non-exploitative foreign aid and fair trade agreements protecting human rights, public health, workers’ rights, the environment
  2. ending dependence on non-renewable energy
  3. unfettered access to voluntary reproductive health/family planning
  4. local control of natural/agricultural resources

  1. US participation/full dues payment without preconditions
